Job Description

As a Safety & Security Specialist (Physical Security, Labor & Fire Safety), you will be a key member of the Studio Operations team, responsible for the safety, security, and compliance of our work environment in Kyiv and Odesa. You will be appointed and responsible for Labor & Fire Safety orders signed by the Director, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.

About the Role

  • You will report to our Workplace Manager based in Kyiv.
  • This role is physically based in Kyiv, with possible business trips to Odesa.

Labor & Fire Safety Responsibilities

  • Develop all Labor & Fire Safety orders and act as the appointed HSE representative.
  • Organize company activities related to labor protection (LP) and fire safety (FS), reviewing existing measures and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, rules, norms, and regulations for LP and FS.
  • Monitor employee adherence to safety requirements for equipment handling.
  • Oversee the condition of employee workplaces to ensure compliance with LP and FS requirements.
  • Organize and control staff training, including preliminary and periodic medical examinations.
  • Liaise with inspecting state bodies.
  • Manage internal audits and action plans.
  • Participate in the development of SOPs, safety & security documents, plans, instructions, and policies.
  • Conduct training and briefings for employees on emergency response procedures.

Physical Security Responsibilities

  • Manage security guards (instructions, scheduling, emergency calls, reports).
  • Oversee video surveillance systems.
  • Manage access control systems.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of physical security equipment.
  • Handle visitor management, special visits, and events.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience (at least 3 years) in a similar or comparable Labor & Fire Safety/HSE role.
  • Proficient knowledge of Ukrainian laws and regulations concerning labor protection and fire safety.
  • Successful experience with regulatory authority inspections.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying labor and fire safety standards systems.
  • Understanding of current labor law, labor protection, and fire safety legislation.
  • Experience in organizing document management for labor protection and fire safety.
  • Experience in state fire supervision or fire safety services is a plus.
  • Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High integrity, compliance, and quality standards.
