About the Role

As a Software Engineer based in our Redwood City office, you will ship features end-to-end across our Go backend, TypeScript/React web app, and React Native mobile apps. You will work in a small pod of 4-5 engineers, reporting to an engineering lead. This role is perfect for someone with 1-3 years of experience who wants to own clearly-scoped projects, deepen their system and product intuition through mentorship, pairing, and code reviews, and directly impact the daily operations of our clients.

What You'll Do

• Ship features end-to-end, from proto and backend logic to web and mobile UI.
• Own small, clearly-scoped projects (typically 1-3 weeks) with limited direction, from scoping through rollout.
• Go deep into your pod’s part of the product to fix bugs and add new features with confidence.
• Align with PM and tech lead on project goals and write clear tickets.
• Talk to clients directly to understand their workflows and gather feedback.
• Write design docs for features and consider interactions with adjacent systems.
• Review teammates’ code and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and fix broken team processes, automating manual work where possible.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Solid command of computer-science fundamentals.
• Fluency in at least one production language.
• Comfort shipping features end-to-end and debugging across the stack.
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) the Bay Area and able to work in person 4 days a week in our Redwood City office.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Go, TypeScript/React, or React Native.
• Experience at an early-stage startup or other fast-moving environment.
• Familiarity with ERP, POS, payments, or other system-of-record software.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $186K
• Equity package of $101K / 0.0440% / 7,602 options.
