Marketing & Community Outreach Intern

Punto Cubano Berlin is a growing dance and cultural academy dedicated to teaching Cuban salsa, son, rumba, chachachá, Afro-Cuban dance, and other Cuban dance and music traditions. Our mission is to foster a warm, professional, and intercultural space where individuals can learn to dance, connect with others, and authentically experience Cuban culture.

You will play a key role in increasing Punto Cubano Berlin's visibility across the city, driving attendance to our free trial classes, and cultivating long-term local partnerships. This is a structured role focused on achieving clear targets through planned outreach, a concise pitch, and diligent contact management.

Tasks:

• Plan and execute weekly outreach routes across Berlin, visiting diverse locations such as language schools, universities, coworking spaces, cafés, bars, restaurants, hostels, gyms, cultural venues, and community spaces.
• Introduce Punto Cubano Berlin to local partners, distributing flyers, posters, or QR codes.
• Directly engage potential participants, inviting them to free trial classes.
• Identify and develop local partnerships with complementary businesses and organizations.
• Maintain a structured contact and visit database using tools like Google Sheets or Notion.
• Support open-air promotions, trial-class promotion, and community activities.
• Provide weekly reports on visited locations, new contacts, leads generated, registrations, and follow-up actions.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable approaching people and presenting a project confidently.
• Enjoy navigating and exploring Berlin; confident entering various establishments to represent the project.
• Reliable, structured, and diligent in following up with contacts.
• Interest in marketing, community building, culture, events, tourism, or communications.
• Fluent in English and German; Spanish is a plus.
• A good sense for people, atmosphere, and identifying suitable venues.
• Alignment with a friendly, respectful, and intercultural working environment.
