Mid Senior Devops- GCP + Terraform + Gitlab

Position Overview

Jalasoft is looking for a Mid Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, and GitLab. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and automated deployment pipelines to support scalable and reliable applications.

About the Role

In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices and enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows. You will be instrumental in supporting scalable and reliable applications through robust cloud infrastructure and automation.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience.
• CI/CD Tooling: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, with a strong preference for GitLab CI (pipelines, shared runners, multi-stage workflows, templates).
• Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform (reading/understanding module inputs/outputs, interpreting Terraform plans/diffs/state, wiring standard modules safely).
• Artifact Management: Practical experience with artifact management systems (e.g., Cloudsmith) for build artifacts, container images, and Terraform modules.
• GCP Fundamentals: Solid understanding of GCP fundamentals (projects, IAM, service accounts, networking basics like VPC, subnets, load balancing, and common platform services like Cloud Run, CloudSQL).
• Containerization: Experience building and operating containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes or similar orchestration technologies.
• Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in scripting/automation (Bash / Python) for CI job automation, Terraform tooling, and reporting.
• Security & Compliance: Experience with security and compliance controls in cloud or platform contexts (e.g., IAM least-privilege, vulnerability scanning, policy-as-code, audit/report needs).
• Communication: Strong Communication Skills.
