The Role: Senior Product Manager I (Data Platform and Platform API)

This role focuses on the core data constructs that define HubSpot's CRM schema (objects and metadata) and the API strategy for the Data Foundations organization. You will own critical surface areas that impact hundreds of thousands of businesses, partners, and developers building on the HubSpot platform. This is a highly technical role requiring significant ownership and strategic thinking.

In this role you’ll get to:

• Create a shared vision and roadmap for HubSpot's data primitives (objects, properties, associations, metadata systems).
• Own the API mission for the Data Platform, defining standards, quality, and consistency for data layer access.
• Drive alignment on schema evolution across HubSpot product teams, including those focused on AI Agents.
• Guide new product ideas from concept to launch, improving how customers manage their data models.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their data complexity and needs.
• Use data and research to identify API friction and drive improvements for developer experience.
• Represent the data primitives and API roadmap to senior leadership, partners, and key customers.

We are looking for people who have:

• Experience launching products, ideally in platform, data infrastructure, or developer tooling.
• Deep fluency in data modeling concepts (entity-relationship modeling, schema design, metadata systems). Experience with metadata platforms, data catalogs, or CRM data models is a strong plus.
• Strong API intuition (REST or GraphQL), understanding versioning, backward compatibility, and developer ergonomics.
• A multidisciplinary approach, combining market, business, and technical insights.
• Ability to read/write technical specs and review architecture diagrams, ERDs, and API contracts.
• Ability to articulate product vision to diverse audiences.
• Respect for collaborators (engineering, design, UX research, analytics).
• A drive to deeply understand and solve customer needs.
• Ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of competitive CRM and data platforms.
• Experience using or building supporting infrastructure for AI products.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Cash Compensation Range: $140,000 - $210,000 USD.
• Includes base salary, potential on-target commission, and annual bonus targets.
• Eligibility for HubSpot’s equity plan (RSUs).
