About the Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive for the CIS region, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them in adopting and expanding their use of GitLab's comprehensive AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You will manage a diverse portfolio of business, from small, fast-growing teams to complex enterprise projects, all focused on modernizing their software delivery pipelines. Reporting to an Area Sales Manager, you will collaborate closely with business development, marketing, and technical teams to drive the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals.

What You'll Do

  • Report to an Area Sales Manager and manage a broad book of business, encompassing new prospects and existing account growth across the CIS region.
  • Oversee the complete sales cycle for prospects, including discovery, solution alignment, negotiation, and closing.
  • Articulate GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition, aligning it with customer business outcomes.
  • Conduct win/loss analyses, contribute to root cause investigations, and share insights with relevant teams.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data, including buying criteria, processes, next steps, and owners.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices.
  • Provide account leadership and direction, coordinating pre- and post-sales efforts with technical teams and customer success.
  • Act as the voice of the customer by providing product feedback and ideas to the public issue tracker.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success in software sales, preferably in mid-market or enterprise environments, managing a varied book of business.
  • Ability to guide customers through the entire buying journey, defining criteria, mapping processes, and driving clear next steps.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on evidence.
  • Skills in conducting win/loss and root cause analyses, and sharing insights to enhance team performance.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, presenting to stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions.
  • Interest in GitLab, open-source software, Git, development tools, or application lifecycle management.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values, openness to diverse backgrounds, and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Fluency in Russian and English is required.

About the Team

The sales team collaborates with organizations to modernize their software delivery using GitLab. You'll join a distributed team of account executives, sales managers, and business development professionals who work asynchronously.
