About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Analyst responsible for gathering, interpreting, analyzing, and visualizing large and complex datasets to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making, encompassing Business Intelligence, visualization, and Advanced Analytics.
Responsibilities & Skill Set Requirements
- Data Collection and Modeling: Gather data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs) to support business requirements.
- Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Review and organize data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness, handling missing values, outliers, and transforming data for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Apply statistical techniques and analytical methods using tools like SQL, Python, or specialized software to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Data Visualization: Design, build, and maintain visual representations (charts, graphs, dashboards) using tools like SnowSight and Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
- Reporting: Summarize and present findings, creating reports, slide decks, or presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Governance, including Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through quality checks and validation procedures.
- Data Mining: Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in large datasets using techniques like clustering, classification, and regression.
- Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods and hypothesis testing for data-driven recommendations.
- Implement best practices for data visualization, reporting, and analysis.
- Collaborating with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams (business analysts, data engineers) to understand requirements, provide analytical support, and contribute to data-driven initiatives.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, analytical techniques, and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, computer science).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data analytics, focusing on business intelligence and data visualization.
- 5+ years of real-world data engineering development experience in Snowflake.
- Proficient in the application of DBT.
- Proficient in Snowflake services (SnowSight, Snowpipe, stages, stored procedures, views, materialized views, tasks, streams).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with complex datasets and Enterprise Data Warehouses.
- Experience with data modeling and schema design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior analysts.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and data integrity efforts.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness is critical to avoid misleading results.
- Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience with data integration, storage, processing, and manipulation.
