The Role: Senior Strategic Solutions Engineer

Location: Delhi NCR, India

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization is responsible for the technical sales of Cloudflare's solution portfolio, ensuring maximum business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and adoption roadmaps for our customers. We are building a diverse, experienced, and curious team. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be a customer-facing technologist with deep domain expertise in the region. Your role involves influencing enterprise architecture design and convincing senior buyers of Cloudflare's strategic value. You will work within pursuit teams for strategic accounts, understanding their business challenges to define long-term solution architectures with Cloudflare at the center. A key aspect of this role is also scaling your expertise across the wider Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain long-term technical relationships with key accounts, ensuring successful design, proof, and adoption of Cloudflare within their critical infrastructure.
• Drive strategic conversations with key stakeholders to enhance our reputation and expand our footprint within customer organizations.
• Act as the voice of the customer, influencing Product Management and Product Roadmaps.
• Demonstrate expertise through creating professional content such as white papers, reference architectures, and blog posts.
• Represent and evangelize Cloudflare at external industry events through thought leadership.
• Apply in-depth vertical knowledge and domain expertise to advise on best practices.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience interacting with senior-level executives on network and security transformation.
• Fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures.
• Detailed understanding of hybrid architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP) and workflow from user to application.
• Knowledge of: Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, DNS, DNS over HTTPS, IdP/authentication (SAML, OTP), SaaS application integration, VPN and remote access, SIEM and log analytics, Client OS fundamentals.
• Ability to perform hands-on configuration when necessary.
• Routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, local internet breakout.
• Understanding of end-user and application security risks (DDoS, malware, phishing, viruses).
• Knowledge of competitive landscape (CDN providers, WAF, Remote access, NGFW, CASB, DDOS, SD-WAN, Secure Gateway).
• Familiarity with Cloudflare ZTNA solutions (Teams, Access, Gateway, Browser Isolation) is ideal.
