Principal Product Manager, AI agents - Search

About the Role

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the Elastic Agent Builder. This role is pivotal in enabling enterprises to build, manage, and scale context for AI agents as they transition to autonomous workflows. You will operate at the intersection of search, AI, and enterprise solutions, working with senior leadership and key partners.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with enterprise customers, sales teams, and solution architects to gather requirements and define product needs.
• Develop and socialize a roadmap for core context engineering capabilities that leverage Elastic's retrieval and relevance for AI Agents.
• Analyze the AI Agent market, identifying key players, trends, and their impact on strategy.
• Partner with data science and engineering teams to define strategies for benchmarking and evaluating agent capabilities.
• Work with design teams to enhance user experiences for context display and refinement in agents.
• Act as a product expert, evangelizing Agent Builder capabilities through content, blog posts, and open-source projects.
• Engage with a broad ecosystem of AI partners, including cloud service providers (Google, Amazon, Microsoft) and community developers.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in product management or solution delivery for technical, cloud infrastructure, or platform products, with a proven track record of launching and growing complex, data-intensive products.
• Deep technical understanding of the AI/ML landscape, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering.
• A proactive and agile approach, with the ability to learn quickly from experiments and leverage AI tools for process acceleration.
• Demonstrated leadership and influence skills to align matrixed organizations and drive execution in a remote-first environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical details to diverse audiences.
• A passion for industry trends and a commitment to solving real-world customer problems, with a focus on empowering developers.
