What is The Role
Elastic is looking for a Principal Product Manager to guide the vision, strategy, and execution for the Elastic Agent Builder. This tool is critical for enabling users to create faster, more cost-effective, and accurate AI Agents by serving as the context layer for autonomous workflows. In this high-impact role, you will define how enterprises build, manage, and scale context for AI agents, working at the forefront of the AI ecosystem with senior leadership and partnering with hyperscalers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work directly with enterprise customers, sales teams, and solution architects to understand requirements and priorities.
- Build, socialize, and align a roadmap for core context engineering capabilities on top of Elastic-powered retrieval and relevance for AI Agents.
- Deeply understand the AI Agent market, major players, trends, and their impact on our strategy.
- Work with data science and engineering to develop strategies for benchmarking and evaluating agent capabilities.
- Collaborate with design to create user experiences for how agents show and refine context.
- Serve as the product expert and evangelize Agent Builder capabilities through content like blog posts and open-source projects.
- Engage with a broad ecosystem of AI partners, including cloud service providers and community developers.
What You Bring
- Extensive Experience: 10+ years in product management or solution delivery for technical, cloud infrastructure, or platform products, with a record of leading complex, data-intensive products from inception to growth.
- AI and ML Fluency: Deep technical understanding of the AI/ML landscape, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering. Comfortable solving intricate technical challenges with engineers and data scientists.
- Bias to Action: Ability to move fast, learn from experiments, and utilize AI tools to accelerate processes and clarify decisions.
- Leadership and Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead across a matrixed organization, align stakeholders, and drive execution in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding spoken and written communication skills, able to distill complex engineering details into compelling narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer Obsession: Passion for industry trends and solving real-world customer problems; advocate for the developer persona.
Compensation
Base salary only. The typical starting salary range for this role is €102,700—€162,500 EUR. The final offer will be based on experience, skills, and role complexity.
