This critical product enables organizations to build, manage, and scale context for AI agents, driving the shift towards autonomous workflows. What is the Role?
As the Principal Product Manager for the Elastic Agent Builder, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a platform that allows enterprises to create faster, more cost-effective, and accurate AI agents. You will operate at the forefront of the AI ecosystem, working with senior leadership, hyperscalers, and the global AI developer community.
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate directly with enterprise customers, sales teams, and solution architects to gather requirements, prioritize needs, and clarify product specifications.
- Develop, socialize, and align a roadmap for core context engineering capabilities built on Elastic's retrieval and relevance technologies for AI Agents.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis of AI Agents, identifying key players, trends, and strategic implications for Elastic.
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to define the strategy for benchmarking and evaluating AI agent capabilities.
- Work with design to create user experiences that enhance how agents display and refine context during operation.
- Serve as the product expert, evangelizing Agent Builder capabilities through content such as blog posts and open-source projects.
- Engage with a broad ecosystem of AI partners, including cloud service providers (Google, Amazon, Microsoft) and community developers.
What You Bring
- Extensive Experience: 10+ years in product management or solution delivery for technical, cloud infrastructure, or platform products, with a proven record of bringing complex, data-intensive products from inception to growth.
- AI and ML Fluency: Deep technical understanding of the AI/ML landscape, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering. Comfortable working closely with engineers and data scientists.
- Bias for Action: Ability to move quickly, learn from experiments, and leverage AI tools to accelerate processes and decision-making.
- Leadership and Influence: Demonstrated ability to lead across a matrixed organization, align stakeholders, and drive execution in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding spoken and written communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical details into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including executives.
- Customer Obsession: Passion for industry trends and a commitment to solving real-world customer problems, advocating for the developer persona.
Compensation
This role offers base salary compensation. The typical starting salary range for this role is €67,000—€106,000 EUR. Compensation is determined by relevant experience, skills, expertise, role alignment, and scope.
