The Solutions Consulting & Engineering (SC&E) team is customer-focused and solutions-led, delivering end-to-end and emerging solutions to drive customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth. Job Summary
The Senior Advisor is a business-outcome-focused consulting leader within WWT Engineering Services. You will shape and win opportunities alongside the Principal Advisor and Sales, then ensure delivery excellence by guiding engineering and architecture teams to execute against clearly defined outcomes, scope, and success measures. This role integrates presales leadership, solution design, delivery governance, and practice development to drive transformational results across technology and organizational change.
Key Responsibilities
1) Presales & Solution Leadership
- Lead customer discovery, outcome definition, and value hypothesis shaping; translate business drivers into feasible architectures, delivery approaches, and investment cases (TCO/ROI), working closely with the Principal Advisor.
- Orchestrate solution strategy, estimates, risk and dependency analysis, and the creation of Statements of Work (SoWs)/proposals with clear scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria, ensuring a balance between customer value and delivery/commercial risk.
- Facilitate workshops, Proofs of Value (PoVs)/Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and Advanced Technology Center (ATC)-enabled evaluations to validate approaches and de-risk decisions before commitment.
2) Delivery Excellence & Governance
- Provide day-to-day solution ownership during execution, ensuring fidelity to the sold intent and measurable outcomes. Partner through the Two-in-the-Box model with the Project Management Office (PMO) for planning, Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency (RAID) management, change control, and stakeholder communications.
- Guide architects and engineers across discovery, design, build, transition, and operate phases, ensuring methodical handoffs, quality, and adherence to standards.
- Maintain continuity from presales to delivery by supporting or deputizing for the Principal Advisor as needed to preserve context and reduce delivery risk.
3) Business-Outcome Solutioning for Technology & Organisational Transformation
- Shape target operating models, capability roadmaps, and transformation backlogs that span people, process, technology, and data, aligning solution increments and milestones to business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Advise on change enablement (communications, training, adoption) to accelerate time-to-value and sustain outcomes beyond go-live.
4) Practice Development & Reuse
- Contribute to Engineering Services & Architecture (ES&A) offerings, methods, templates, and accelerators; convert bespoke engagement work into reusable artifacts and collateral.
- Mentor consultants, architects, and engineers; uplift presales discipline within ES and raise delivery maturity through coaching and reviews.
5) Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Technology Development & Engineering (TD&E), PMO, Regional Management, and other delivery verticals to ensure coherent account strategies and smooth execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders; present complex topics clearly, challenge constructively, and influence decisions at the executive level.
Qualifications
Essential
- Proven track record (typically 8–12+ years) in technology consulting/architecture and delivery leadership across enterprise programs.
- Familiarity with operating model design and organizational change methods.
- Strong presales experience: discovery facilitation, solution shaping, estimation, Statement of Work (SoW)/proposal authorship, and risk/commercial governance.
- Demonstrated delivery governance in complex, multi-workstream engagements; adept at RAID, change control, and quality assurance alongside PMO.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate between business and technical audiences and drive consensus.
Desired
- Depth in one or more domains (e.g., cloud, networking, security, workplace, data/AI, platforms) with the breadth to integrate across the stack.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, PMP/PRINCE2, cloud/provider credentials) are a plus.
Measures of Success
- Presales impact: Qualified pipeline influenced, win rate, proposal quality, estimate accuracy, time-to-proposal.
- Delivery outcomes: On-scope/on-budget/on-time engagement delivery, outcome attainment vs. success criteria, change request hygiene, risk burn-down.
- Customer value: Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)/Net Promoter Score (NPS), executive sponsorship strength, referenceability.
- Practice health: Reuse contributions, offering/accelerator uptake, mentoring and capability uplift across ES&A.
Working Model
- Operate in close partnership with the Principal Advisor through presales and into delivery to maintain context and ensure outcome continuity; collaborate day-to-day with engineers and architects to govern scope, quality, and risks.
- Engage across discovery, design, build, transition, and operate phases in line with ES delivery methodology and WWT standards.
Travel Requirement
- Travel up to 25–50% depending on engagement and customer needs.
Salary Range
- $118,000.00 to $177,000.00 annually (base pay range, actual salary may vary).
