About the Role

NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team is seeking a talented Product Manager to build and manage essential products that serve our organization. You will be the central point of contact for product-related matters, collaborating closely with business and engineering teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions. This role offers the chance to be an expert in product features, guide new initiatives, and mentor junior team members within a portfolio aligned with critical NBCU functions such as Content Management, Data & Analytics, and Scheduling & Distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to optimization, defining vision, strategy, and success metrics for key initiatives, including data warehousing and business intelligence platforms.
  • Roadmap & Backlog Ownership: Develop and maintain feature roadmaps, prioritize capabilities, lead grooming sessions, and meticulously document product features and user stories in JIRA.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Ad Sales, Programming, Operations, etc.) to capture business requirements, define data needs, and align priorities.
  • Technical Collaboration & Solution Design: Partner with architecture and solutions leaders to identify optimal technical solutions and work with engineering teams to implement automation and workflow optimizations.
  • Data-Driven Product Development: Conduct hands-on data exploration and analysis to inform product decisions and develop data-driven features, using insights to refine platform strategy.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Define and execute user acceptance testing, ensuring all workflows meet NBCUniversal standards and industry regulations.
  • Incident & Change Management: Coordinate prompt resolution of operational issues and effectively manage change requests to maintain system stability.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Track vendor performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and presentation skills.
  • Expertise in the SDLC process, including scoping, iteration planning, user story writing, and rollout management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess ambiguous situations and devise effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working on problems of diverse scope with minimal supervision.

Desired Characteristics

  • 3+ years Product management experience in media, including client requirements gathering, technical specification writing, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps.
  • At least 2 years of direct client engagement experience.
  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience using Jira or similar systems.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and a natural problem solver.

Additional Requirements

  • Hybrid: This position requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from Stamford, CT; Centennial, CO; New York, NY; or Universal City, CA.
