Description

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, IDEOlogy Health is seeking an ambitious, experienced, and results-oriented individual to spearhead business development activities for our rapidly growing medical media company. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, demonstrating a consistent ability to proactively identify and develop strategic growth opportunities. This role requires effective cross-organizational collaboration and the development of integrated customer engagement strategies to drive profitable revenue growth. Success hinges on a strong understanding of sales, medical marketing, medical education, social media, oncology, and the biopharma industry, including all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales efforts for assigned current and potential customers.
  • Initiate customer contact, prepare compelling presentations, identify and close sales opportunities, and manage ongoing client status calls and projects.
  • Conduct thorough research into client needs to develop tailored solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Engage with existing and new clients at conferences, virtual meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Collaborate with management to create and execute a sales plan aimed at achieving revenue goals.
  • Provide regular sales pipeline metrics and strategic plans to meet annual sales revenue targets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the oncology marketplace, identifying new prospects and managing existing accounts for follow-up.
  • Oversee all client contact, scheduling, and pipeline management.
  • Contribute strategic input and direction to guide the team on product development and market trends.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the industry landscape.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in a similar business development role.
  • Required pharmaceutical/healthcare experience, ideally including previous pharmaceutical sales, in-house marketing, or adjacent business development roles.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the capacity to communicate with senior leaders both within IDEOlogy Health and client organizations.
  • Demonstrated sound working knowledge of current role functions, relevant technical systems, applications, and equipment, understanding the impact on other business functions.
  • Ability to utilize time efficiently by prioritizing and planning work activities.
  • Capacity to make independent and sound decisions in all situations.
  • Commitment to setting high standards and achieving excellence in all aspects of work.
  • Effectiveness and flexibility in adapting to changing environments, responsibilities, tasks, and people.
  • Timely identification and resolution of issues, with the ability to act quickly to fix problems.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Products, Zoom Meetings, and project management software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly.
  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
