About the Role

We are seeking a talented and strategic Brand Designer to lead the visual development and cohesive implementation of the BEARPAW brand identity. You will be instrumental in crafting and maintaining our Corporate Identity System, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand experience across all platforms and touchpoints. This role requires not only exceptional design execution but also strategic thinking to evolve the brand as we expand into new markets and product categories.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and Maintain CI System: Create and manage the comprehensive Corporate Identity System for BEARPAW, including color palettes, typography, imagery guidelines, layout grids, tone of voice, and application rules. Ensure this system is a living, usable resource for all internal teams and external partners.
• Product Imagery, Catalogs & Print: Design product visuals for the online shop, wholesale materials, and trade shows. Develop and update catalogs, flyers, and other print collateral, collaborating with photographers to ensure professional image editing and composition.
• Templates for All Channels: Design adaptable templates for social media (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), newsletters, presentations, and internal documents, ensuring they are easy for non-designers to use correctly.
• Product Photography: Take charge of product photography, capturing studio shots, lifestyle images for campaigns, and detail shots for wholesale. You will define the visual representation of BEARPAW products.
• Co-develop Brand Strategy: Contribute to the strategic evolution of the BEARPAW brand, advising on visual positioning for new markets, product categories, and collaborations.
• Develop New Brands: Lead the creation of visual systems for new brand initiatives or product lines (e.g., Bearpaw X, Bearpaw Kids), from initial positioning and visual language to the first assets.
• Trade Show & Event Design: Oversee the visual presentation of BEARPAW at trade shows and events, including booth design, display materials, giveaways, and presentation collateral, ensuring consistency with the CI.

Your Qualifications

• Must Haves:
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating the creation of cohesive CI systems or comprehensive brand identities.
• Adobe Suite Proficiency: Professional-level expertise in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Systems Thinking: Ability to design and implement scalable design systems that are practical for others to use.
• Briefing Competence: Skill in translating vague briefs into clear visual directions and presenting them effectively.
• Print Competence: Understanding of print production requirements, including color modes, bleeds, and pre-press.
• Nice to Have:
• Experience with Figma for template system creation.
• Knowledge of the sports, outdoor, or premium product sectors.
• Basic understanding of packaging design.
• Experience with international marketing and localization.
