About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Sales Strategy & Operations Manager to act as a dedicated, embedded business partner for our Sales leadership team. This role is critical for owning the operating rhythm of the business and transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive immediate impact. You will be the go-to expert for Sales VPs and Regional Directors seeking to understand performance drivers, strategize territory planning, and optimize pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership Partnership
- Manage the daily operating cadence for Sales leadership, including pipeline reviews, weekly forecasting, QBR preparation, and representative productivity analysis.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales VPs and Regional Directors needing to diagnose performance issues or requiring data-backed recommendations.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into simple, actionable guidance, offering a clear point of view on next steps.
- Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and metrics to provide real-time insights into business health, funnel conversion, and representative productivity.
Annual Planning & Strategy
- Lead the annual Go-To-Market (GTM) planning process, encompassing territory design, quota modeling, and headcount planning in collaboration with Finance, Marketing, and Sales leadership.
- Model the financial implications of sales compensation plan adjustments to ensure alignment with company objectives and motivational effectiveness.
- Conduct scenario analyses to support critical decisions regarding market segmentation, resource allocation, and coverage model adjustments.
Process & Performance Improvement
- Proactively identify breakdowns in the sales process, such as conversion gaps, pipeline hygiene issues, or velocity bottlenecks, and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations to ensure the technology stack supports necessary data analysis, focusing on the quality and accessibility of data.
Offshore Team Leadership
- Direct a small offshore sales support team responsible for reporting, presentation creation, and administrative tasks for the domestic sales organization.
- Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and workflows to ensure team reliability and effective escalation management.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Sales Operations, with direct, day-to-day support of a quota-carrying sales organization.
- Proven ability to partner with and influence VP/SVP-level Sales leaders as a trusted advisor.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex data into concise, actionable recommendations.
- Strong financial and operational modeling skills using Excel/Google Sheets, including building territory models, quota scenarios, and compensation plan analyses.
- Experience managing direct reports or teams, including remote or offshore resources.
- Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder due to ITAR requirements.
