Your Position

As the leader of our Design Team, you play a pivotal role in a visionary and dynamic group committed to revolutionizing the global energy sector. Building upon our Heartbeat AI Platform, our mission is to identify ⚡️#NewEnergy opportunities for our customers and build future-proof, sustainable, and valuable products for them.

• Lead and scale the design organization: Build, mentor, and grow a team of product designers. Set the vision for how design works at scale, from quality standards to career development.
• Own the end-to-end product design function: Drive design strategy across Heartbeat and our customer-facing products, ensuring every touchpoint—from onboarding to energy management—is coherent, intuitive, and beautifully executed.
• Embed AI into how your team works: Champion AI-native workflows across the design organization, including rapid prototyping, large-scale research synthesis, and automated workflows, to raise the velocity and ambition of what your team ships.
• Shape AI-powered product experiences: Partner with Product and Engineering to define how AI manifests for customers, transforming complex energy data and recommendations into clear and trustworthy experiences.
• Operate as a senior cross-functional leader: Influence roadmap priorities and company strategy alongside Product, Engineering, and the C-suite. Represent design as a driver of business outcomes, not just craft.

Your Profile

• A seasoned design leader:
• 9+ years in Product Design, with at least 3+ years leading and managing design teams.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams in a fast-scaling tech environment, with a clear point of view on great design leadership.
• AI-native accelerator:
• Up-to-date with the latest innovations in AI Product Design.
• Fluent in generative design tools, uses AI to accelerate team workflows, and possesses genuine optimism and curiosity about AI's future.
• A systems thinker:
• Ability to see the whole product ecosystem, not just individual screens.
• Deep care for design systems, coherence across touchpoints, and the long-term craft infrastructure that enables rapid yet high-quality delivery.
• A strong communicator and collaborator:
• Ability to align engineers, product managers, and executives around a design vision.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, direct in feedback, and generous with thinking.
• Mission-driven:
• Deeply motivated by the energy transition and the idea that great design can accelerate the shift to a clean energy future.
• Excellent communicator:
• Elegant and polished English presentation, storytelling, stakeholder management, and feedback skills.
• German nativity is a huge bonus.
