Instacart's Advertising business is experiencing rapid growth, operating a complex retail media platform across various touchpoints. We need a Chief of Staff to provide connective tissue across this ambitious organization, sharpen priorities, strengthen cross-functional alignment, and ensure the GM can operate at full strategic altitude.
What You'll Achieve in Your First Year
- Establish and execute a clear operating rhythm for the Ads organization, including team meetings, leadership cadences, and communications.
- Ensure cross-functional leaders and external partners are well-prepared and aligned for all major engagements.
- Drive priority initiatives across the Ads organization to successful completion, tracking deliverables and mitigating blockers.
- Enhance budget visibility across the Ads organization in partnership with Finance, providing clear and defensible numbers for planning.
- Empower the GM to be a more effective leader by providing strategic counsel and operational support.
Required Qualifications (Must-Have Pantry Staples)
- 10+ years of experience in consulting, corporate tech, or advertising/media, with significant exposure to executive audiences.
- Strong foundation in digital advertising, retail media, or adjacent businesses.
- High Emotional Quotient (EQ) and a proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships with senior leaders.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous challenges into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated project management expertise in managing multiple high-stakes workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing executive-ready materials.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional Garnishes)
- Experience in high-growth, technology-driven companies operating in ambiguous environments.
- Proven ability to build structured processes from scratch for complex, cross-functional objectives.
- Direct experience partnering with Finance on budget management and annual business planning.

This role is remote and hiring is open in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
Compensation & Benefits
Instacart offers market-competitive compensation and benefits. The base pay range for this role is $203,000 - $214,000 CAD, dependent on permanent work location. The role is eligible for new hire and annual equity grants. Learn more about our benefits here.
