What Will You Be Doing?
The Day-2 Services Enterprise Architect will lead Day-2 Support and Managed Services engagements and cross-functional technical teams through the pre-sales process and into production transition. This role is responsible for technical and consultative communication with WWT Sales, Engineers, Architects, and customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting Sales Enablement and Day-2 Leadership during engagements.
- Collaborating with leads and cross-functional teams on complex customer projects.
- Providing technical and business outcome leadership, ensuring alignment between WWT Engineers, Architects, and customer leaders.
- Leading customer-facing Day-2 services projects, developing deliverables such as presentations, solution options, plans, strategies, designs, assessments, and business case analyses.
- Acting as the "Solution / Technical Leader" in the "Two in the Box" model with PMO leadership to drive successful project outcomes.
Solutions / Technical Leadership Role:
- Understand all client scopes and objectives, serving as the primary external technical voice and internal escalation point during pre-sales and transition.
- Partner with Day-2 Leadership and PMO to resolve risks and issues promptly.
- Accountable for resolving technical risks and issues using WWT's resources and expertise.
- Ensure staff, contractors, and partners adhere to WWT best practices and templates.
- Review deployment documents, technical assessments, and other technical outputs for consistency and adherence to the "One Voice" standard.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical/line of business contact between WWT and the customer from initiation through transition into production, ensuring desired outcomes are met.
- Demonstrate ability to execute architecture activities and methodologies for comprehensive discovery, analysis, and technical/business recommendations.
- Utilize advanced communication skills, including business/technical writing and presentations.

- Ensure all components and usage are consistent with applicable regulatory, departmental, IT, and corporate standards, policies, and guidelines, including international compliance standards.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent proven experience.
- Multi-technology (WAN/LAN, DC, WLAN, Collaboration, Compute) and Managed Services – Day-2 Support experience managing complex projects and architecture.
- 8+ years of leadership experience in IT infrastructure architecture development and technology consulting, advisory, or professional services.
- Extensive client engagement/management experience, preferably in a Professional Services and Network Operations Center environment.
- Thorough understanding of financial processes - P&L and financial management.
- Financial acumen related to tracking and forecasting project costs.
- Thorough understanding of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) including Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
- Experience working in a matrix organization.
Preferred Requirements:
- One or more major industry IT certifications, ideally with one or more of WWT’s core OEM partners.
- Demonstrated leadership, team building, and management skills.
- Global/remote work experience and compliance with international standards (e.g., data privacy).
- Advanced client-facing skills, including analyzing and providing solutions to complex architecture or services problems, influencing and negotiating with clients.
- Post-graduate training in a business-related discipline or management.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: The estimated base pay range for this position is $126,000.00 to $158,000.00 annually. Actual salary depends on factors like shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, and business needs. Geographic location may affect the range. Some positions may be eligible for variable incentive compensation (e.g., bonuses, commissions) not included in base pay.
