Sr. Business Development Manager - Festivals & Live Entertainment

The Role:
AXS is seeking a dynamic Sr. Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business growth opportunities within the live entertainment sector. This role will specifically focus on our festival division (music festivals, fairs, greenfield events) while also supporting our music venue and promoter business. You will be instrumental in developing and managing a pipeline of new business, optimizing sales channels, and driving revenue growth.

What You Will Do:

  • Pipeline Growth: Lead the strategic development and expansion of a client pipeline within festival and fair categories, and assist in identifying opportunities across all music categories (clubs, theaters, casinos, arenas).
  • Vertical Growth Strategies: Develop and implement growth strategies for the music vertical through lead generation and relationship-building.
  • Financial Proposals and Negotiations: Manage financial deal models, proposals, and lead contract negotiations for new partnerships and renewals.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve and surpass revenue targets by identifying key opportunities within assigned verticals.
  • CRM Maintenance: Regularly update opportunities and pipeline data for integrity and optimization.
  • Industry Representation: Represent AXS at industry events and tradeshows, facilitating strategic meetings.
  • Executive Support: Assist Business Development leadership with strategic tasks and ad-hoc initiatives.
  • Partnership Development: Cultivate relationships with potential partners and lead efforts to secure meetings that drive business opportunities.

What You Will Bring:

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Advanced Degree Preferred).
  • 4-6 years of experience in Business Development within the ticketing or live entertainment industry.
  • Strong experience in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and negotiating creative solutions.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and execute contracts.
  • Experience evolving sales tools, presentations, and messaging to align with market trends.
  • Experience representing a company at industry events and tradeshows, with strong networking and lead generation skills.
  • Proven understanding of a sales cycle and the needs of a sales organization.
  • Passion for the live event industry (music festivals, themed attractions, sporting events, artist tours, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proactive, self-starter, strong team player, creative, analytical, adaptable, and eager to learn.
  • Highly organized and takes initiative.
  • Hands-on knowledge of business software and marketing/design technology (Slack, G-Suite, Notion, Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM).
  • Track record of optimizing sales processes and CRM maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Scale: $88,200 - $110,000 (based on skills, qualifications, experience, and market location).
  • Bonus & Commission: Eligible for bonus and commission.
