Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Megaport is looking for an energetic and results-oriented Sales Development Representative to drive the inbound and outbound sales motion for its North American Sales team. This role is pivotal in generating new meetings and opportunities by responding to prospects, qualifying leads, and executing outbound campaigns, all while contributing to the company's hyper-growth and scale.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for many potential customers, playing a crucial role in qualifying leads and generating sales opportunities. You will implement creative processes and help shape world-class sales operations, contributing directly to the company's revenue growth.

Who You'll Work With

You will report to the Sales Development Manager within the GTM Transformation team, supporting the North American Sales organization. You'll collaborate closely with a team of driven SDRs in a high-performance culture where individual success is celebrated.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Engage with prospective customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Follow up on inbound marketing qualified leads, qualify them, and book meetings to create sales opportunities.
  • Utilize sales and lead generation tools such as Salesforce, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Nooks, and Zoominfo to identify and develop leads.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Megaport's solutions and value proposition to effectively communicate how they address customer pain points.
  • Identify and source sales opportunities that align with Megaport's ideal customer profile.
  • Manage and interact with prospects through the website live chat tool.
  • Collaborate closely with Megaport Sales Executives and other sellers to drive revenue growth.
  • Acquire, update, and maintain contact information in Salesforce CRM, providing detailed information for sales opportunities.
  • Stay informed about new products, services, and customer interests through ongoing training.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on demand generation campaigns and drive attendance to company events.
  • Develop your sales career through ongoing training and 1:1 coaching.
