Your Role

Are you an experienced Java Software Engineer (m/f/d) comfortable with complex banking and legacy applications? Do you work in a structured manner, take responsibility, and independently build knowledge in existing system landscapes? Is the focus of your work on stabilizing, maintaining, and analyzing productive applications, including handling incidents and changes? Would you like to contribute your technical expertise in a regulated banking environment while working predominantly remotely? If so, you are exactly right with us!

Your Responsibilities

• Processing of incidents, changes, and tickets in existing banking applications.
• Analysis, evaluation, and resolution of errors in Java-based legacy applications.
• Maintenance, upkeep, and targeted further development of several productive systems.
• Implementation of technical requirements, considering regulatory specifications.
• Execution of developer and integration tests, as well as handover to downstream test levels.
• Documentation of work results and technical contexts in Jira and Confluence.
• Participation in an agile, cross-functional project team.

Your Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience as a Java Software Engineer, ideally at a senior level.
• Very good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL).
• Proficient in using Git, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in the maintenance, incident, or ticket environment of productive applications.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs and the analysis of complex technical interrelationships.
• Ideally, initial exposure to frontend technologies (e.g., Angular / Angular Material).
• Knowledge of event- or service-oriented architectures (e.g., Kafka) as well as CI/CD or container environments (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector is desirable.
• Structured, independent, and reliable way of working.
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken.
