Business Intelligence Developer

MUFG Investor Services is expanding its Data & Analytics team and seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to play a key role in the Analytics team's strategic transformation of the finance function. This position is crucial for developing data solutions that enhance the overall performance and quality of finance data.

You Will:

• Design and Plan BI Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications. Design and architect data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
• Develop and Implement Solutions: Write efficient code using languages/systems such as SQL, Scribe, Microsoft SSIS (DAX or MDX), and Microsoft SSRS. Implement BI solutions based on the Fabric product suite, ensuring compliance with enterprise architectural standards. Support the conversion of legacy Excel reporting to scalable solutions. Prepare and blend data by extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) from sources like SQL Server, XML, Excel, and CSV using Alteryx Designer.
• Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Utilize hands-on knowledge of AWS-based cloud infrastructure to support cloud adoption. Assist Solutions Architects with analysis and input on technical capabilities. Ensure proper integration with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Master Data Management (MDM) platforms.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Test and troubleshoot Business Intelligence applications for accuracy and reliability. Document metadata and reporting applications.
• Modern BI Solutions: Design and develop modern BI solutions, including Performance Management Dashboards, Business Analytics Models, and Visualizations. Provide technical designs for data integration and storage. Automate reporting processes using tools like Power Automate.
• Lifecycle Support: Provide full lifecycle support for BI solutions, from implementation to maturity.

You Have:

• Education: A relevant degree such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Certifications: Consider certifications such as Power BI, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, UI/UX development.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and experience with BI tools (report builders, ad-hoc queries, OLAP, dashboards, data mining, predictive modeling).
• Experience with ERP (e.g. Workday) and Databricks is preferred.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, SSIS.
• Familiarity with the Fabric product suite and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative.
• An analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
