About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Designer to serve as the strategic design lead for our entire Supply ecosystem. This interconnected set of products and experiences powers how our catering partners operate, fulfill orders, and grow their businesses on ezCater. As the Principal Product Designer, Supply, you will operate at the nexus of design craft, product strategy, and business objectives. You will define the design direction for the Restaurant Partner Experience domain, influence roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership, and shape the overall coherence of the ecosystem. Your role will involve elevating the work of your design peers, building credibility with senior stakeholders, and establishing the standard for design excellence in one of ezCater's most vital areas.
What You'll Do
- Define and drive the design strategy for the Supply ecosystem, establishing a unified, user-centered vision that spans multiple product areas and aligns with ezCater’s broader product and business goals.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership to co-create roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives based on a deep understanding of catering partner needs, operational realities, and business health metrics.
- Lead company-level design initiatives across different domains, bringing clarity to ambiguous, multi-team efforts and securing alignment from senior stakeholders.
- Set the benchmark for quality across UX, visual design, content, and interaction by providing direction to other designers and advocating for the evolution of our design principles and systems as the Supply space expands.
- Guide the design direction for your cross-functional team, facilitating critiques and design reviews, articulating clear and defensible decisions, and creating clarity in complex situations.
- Identify and frame high-leverage problem spaces proactively, influencing team priorities beyond just execution.
- Foster a culture of data-informed design decisions, demonstrating a track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to drive impact and holding work accountable to measurable outcomes.
- Mentor and coach designers within the Supply organization, enhancing craft and strategic thinking across the team.
- Improve the communication and documentation of design work by crafting compelling narratives for senior leadership and setting standards for team presentations.
- Champion the responsible and high-quality application of AI in design workflows and guide the Supply design team's adoption of AI capabilities.
What You Have
- 8+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or a similar role, with a strong foundation in visual and interaction design.
- A demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic level, co-defining product direction with PM/Eng/Data partners, shaping roadmaps, and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading design across multiple product areas concurrently, with accountability for quality and coherence within a complex ecosystem.
- Proven ability to frame high-leverage problems and shift teams from task-oriented execution to solving clearly defined, outcome-driven challenges.
- Proficiency across the full design process, with the flexibility to adapt fidelity and abstraction levels as required.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives for both senior leadership and day-to-day cross-functional partners.
- Experience mentoring senior and staff-level individual contributors and elevating the craft of those around you.
- Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools, including AI-first tools. Experience designing with and contributing to robust design systems.
- A comprehensive portfolio showcasing strategic impact, cross-functional leadership, measurable outcomes, and a high standard of craft.
- A sharp intellect, a compassionate approach, and a good sense of humor.
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for company events and team gatherings.

- Familiarity with service design, systems thinking, or other frameworks for navigating large, interconnected problem spaces.
- Experience in the restaurant, catering, delivery, or gig economy sectors.
- A track record of driving design-led culture initiatives and shaping organizational ways of working, rituals, and standards.
Compensation
The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $202,000–$281,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by factors including prior experience, expertise, and region, and may vary. This range does not include additional compensation benefits such as equity, 401K, or health, dental, or vision insurance.
