About the Role
Join Link Snacks as a Key Account Manager and contribute to our position as the No. 1 protein snack manufacturer worldwide. Our modern HQ in Amsterdam hosts a highly international team committed to significant EMEA expansion and regional leadership in branded protein snacks. This position operates with a hybrid working model, based out of our office in Dusseldorf, reporting to the Group KAM EDEKA.
You will be responsible for defining and executing strategies to achieve profitable sales growth (value, profit, and volume) and increase market share within the German market. This involves developing strategic approaches, tactical plans, and profit targets.
Responsibilities
- Successfully launch and manage product lines for the BiFi and Jack Link’s brands, focusing on the Edeka retail channel at both national and regional levels.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships within the Edeka retail channel, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Collaborate closely with the Field Force to implement sales strategies and ensure effective execution at the point of sale.
- Work in partnership with Operations, Finance, Trade-Marketing, Logistics, Category Management, and Customer Service teams to achieve financial and commercial targets.
- Contribute to comprehensive business plans using a category-driven approach to meet objectives and drive growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and potential Edeka accounts.
- Lead regional negotiations on pricing and terms to ensure profitable outcomes and support the Group Account Manager in national negotiations.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Plan and execute promotional activities and sales campaigns in coordination with the marketing team.
- Address and resolve customer issues or complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to senior management.
- Manage budget responsibilities and customer claims in accordance with LSI guidelines.
- Embody the Link Snacks culture, integrating its values into daily work and acting as a brand ambassador.
Qualifications
- EU Citizenship and/or a valid work permit is required. Relocation assistance is not provided. All applications must be submitted in English.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Category Management within the FMCG, retail, or a similar industry.
- Experience within the impulse category is considered valuable.
- Highly entrepreneurial, independent, and self-motivated.
- Proven negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Strong customer and relationship management capabilities, with effective networking and communication skills.
- Excellent business acumen and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze situations and evaluate risks and opportunities.
- Strong execution and results orientation, demonstrating resilience and a commitment to achieving goals.
- Excellent command of both German and English languages, both written and spoken.
