Job Purpose
As a Senior UX Designer within our Experience & Engineering team in the Netherlands, you will be instrumental in crafting exceptional and engaging digital experiences. This role combines technical development skills with design expertise to deliver future-ready solutions for our clients, including Gant, Inter Milan, bol.com, and Just Eat Takeaway. You will transform complex challenges into beautiful, smart, and high-converting digital products, setting the standard for mobile-first customer journeys and confidently leading design direction and stakeholder presentations.
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Journey Design: Map, define, and optimize high-performing, mobile-first customer journeys across multiple touchpoints and channels.
- Brand to Conversion: Translate complex brand strategies into seamless digital campaign journeys, encompassing paid media, CRM, landing pages, Product Listing Pages (PLPs), and Product Detail Pages (PDPs).
- Conversion Optimization: Balance brand objectives with conversion-focused UX principles, identifying funnel friction points and proposing swift, pragmatic solutions.
- Design Documentation: Substantiate design choices with clear annotations, interaction models, and suggestions for animation.
- Prototyping & Systems: Create prototypes to validate concepts and iterate intelligently on component-based design systems.
- Team Leadership: Brief, mentor, and manage junior designers to ensure flawless project delivery.
- Client Relationship Management: Own the client relationship from a UX perspective, confidently presenting concepts to senior stakeholders and effectively navigating feedback.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner fluidly with visual designers and engineering teams to deliver exceptional digital products.
What You’ll Bring:
- Senior-level UX design experience with a strong foundation in e-commerce and full-funnel digital campaigns.
- Proven track record of designing end-to-end digital journeys across paid media, CRM, and key commerce touchpoints (PLPs, PDPs).
- Deep understanding of translating brand storytelling into digital setups that drive both user engagement and commercial performance.
- Extensive knowledge of e-commerce best practices, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and user psychology.
- Familiarity with diverse digital campaign assets (talent/collabs, lifestyle, category, product) and their function across the awareness-to-conversion funnel.
- Advanced proficiency in working with and intelligently iterating on complex component-based design systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, comfortable discussing business metrics and user flows.
- A pragmatic, fast-moving mindset, knowing when to innovate and when to execute efficiently to meet deadlines.
