The Opportunity: Brand & Narrative Lead

This is your shot at building a brand that becomes a household name. We're looking for someone to own the initial impression people have of Joy_, crafting a narrative and brand identity that's as impactful as Oatly or TrueFruits. You'll be responsible for creating campaigns that stop the scroll and convert, making a tired category feel fresh and exciting.

What You'll Do

  • Develop the Brand Narrative: Craft and position Joy_'s unique story, differentiating it from traditional gift cards and establishing it as the new alternative.
  • Tell the Product Story: Make the revolutionary capabilities of the gift card believable and exciting, leveraging the "Zu-Gut-Schein" (almost too good) framing.
  • Own Growth Channels: Lead and scale efforts on TV, Out of Home, and Social media (including a TikTok UGC engine), with a vision for international expansion into the UK and US.
  • Ensure Brand Consistency: Maintain a unified and unmistakable brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints.
  • Drive Conversion: Utilize data to monitor channel performance and optimize campaigns for maximum conversion.

What Makes a Good Fit

We value what you've built over your resume. Ideally, you have:

  • 3+ years of brand building experience: Preferably in consumer, retail, or culture, with a track record of creating brands that reach a broad audience.
  • Exceptional Taste: A keen sense for brand, content, social trends, and the zeitgeist.
  • Social Media Savvy: Deep understanding of social media dynamics, including influencer and creator collaborations.
  • Channel Expertise: Proven experience running growth channels like TV, OOH, and TikTok UGC engines is a significant plus.
  • Bold Creativity: A drive to innovate and create work that stands out.
  • Hands-on Creator: Ability to write scripts, edit reels, and manage projects.
  • Ownership Mentality: Proactive, decisive, and comfortable shipping quickly.
  • AI-Native: Proficient in using AI tools for creative asset generation and efficiency.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and English is essential.
