About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Samsara, you will provide essential design expertise and execution for strategic initiatives. Your work will focus on delivering end-to-end experiences that directly impact customers and support key business objectives. You will own the design for a specific product area, with current emphasis on AI and agentic workflows, and/or design systems supporting a major rebrand. Collaboration with Product and Engineering teams, direct customer engagement, and influencing product strategy are key components of this role. The expectation is to ship well-crafted designs that contribute to making operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable.

What You'll Do
- Own the user experience (UX) for a designated product area or surface, delivering high-impact designs that generate significant customer and business value.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams on strategy, planning, and execution.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform strategic direction.
- Share expertise and provide knowledge transfer to Samsara's internal design team.
- Deliver all agreed-upon project deliverables on time and to specification.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a focus on UX/UI for web and mobile applications.
- Strong interaction and visual design skills.
- A portfolio and/or case studies demonstrating design craft and the ability to solve user problems with quantified impact (required for consideration).
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make).
- Experience prototyping within real codebases; comfort working with GitHub.
- Proven experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months (with potential for conversion, contingent on legal entity presence in the candidate's country).
- Hours: 40 hours per week, no overtime.
- Location: Fully remote.
- Rate: $90-$110 per hour.
- Start Date: As soon as possible (ASAP).
