The Role

As a BDR, you will be a critical player in expanding the adoption of Imply Lumi. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, engage, and qualify prospective customers, playing a vital role in building our sales pipeline. You'll be educating the market on the unique value proposition of Imply Lumi and its ability to offer faster decisions, reduced costs, and new insights from observability and security data.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, events, and targeted campaigns.
  • Conduct in-depth account research to maximize the effectiveness and personalization of outreach.
  • Qualify inbound leads and conduct early-stage discovery conversations.
  • Educate prospects on the value and use cases of Imply Lumi.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Executives to hand off qualified opportunities and support deal progression.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to refine messaging and campaign strategies.
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Continuously learn about the product, market landscape, and SaaS industry trends.

Key Metrics Measured

  • Opportunities created and accepted by the sales team.
  • Daily and weekly outreach activities (LinkedIn, email, phone, marketing campaigns).
  • Quality of qualified opportunities progressing through the sales pipeline.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and maintain strong self-motivation.
  • A genuine passion for research and exceptional communication skills (in-person, phone, and written).
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Skill in making formal and informal presentations to staff and clients.
  • Capacity to prioritize work assignments and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Prior track record of achievement in roles with significant accountability.
  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce.

  • Experience working with observability or SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, Cribl).
