About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and culturally fluent Editor to refine and validate content specifically for the Norwegian-speaking market. This is a remote, part-time freelance position ideal for individuals based in Norway or Europe who are deeply immersed in Norwegian culture, language usage, and regional specificities. Your insights will directly impact the quality and relevance of our game for local players.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate in-game content, ensuring it accurately reflects Norwegian local cultural nuances.
• Curate culturally relevant references, sayings, and themes for localized features.
• Provide editorial feedback and insights to enhance the overall player experience.
• Collaborate with the content team to establish and maintain high editorial standards for Norwegian content.

Requirements

• Currently residing in Norway or elsewhere in Europe, with deep immersion in local Norwegian culture, trends, and idioms.
• Fluency in Norwegian and conversational English proficiency.
• Exceptional command of Norwegian grammar, spelling, and usage.
• Extensive familiarity with Norwegian expressions, slang, media, and pop culture.
• A degree in Communications, Linguistics, Norwegian Language, Writing, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in content editing, localization, or game content is advantageous.
• A genuine passion for word games, language, and cultural storytelling.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Compensation

• $25 - $28 per hour, with the final rate determined by experience level.
