About the Role: Vice President of Marketing

As the Vice President of Marketing, you will ensure Marketing functions as a strategic growth partner, deeply integrated with Revenue and Product teams. You will drive alignment, shape priorities, and ensure our marketing efforts translate into measurable business impact. Your success will be measured by the strength of the function you build and the leaders you empower across Growth Marketing, Content Marketing, and Marketing Operations. A core focus will be elevating Product Marketing into a strategic cornerstone, defining the vision, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that connect our product to customer outcomes and accelerate revenue.

What You’ll Do:

  • GTM Leadership: Serve as a core strategic partner within the Go-to-Market triad, embedding Marketing alongside Revenue and Product to plan, prioritize, and execute growth initiatives. Build operating rhythms across functions, ensuring a coordinated, intentional, and outcomes-driven market approach.
  • Set Strategy & Roadmap: Establish the marketing vision, strategic priorities, and multi-quarter roadmap aligned with company growth goals. Ensure initiatives are focused, resourced, and sequenced for maximum impact, balancing short-term performance with long-term brand and market positioning.
  • Build & Empower the Function: Lead and develop a marketing organization where functional leaders own strategy, operate creatively, and possess clear accountability. Transition the team from task execution to true functional leadership, creating the structure for scaled impact.
  • Elevate Product Marketing: Build and scale Product Marketing as a cornerstone capability, connecting product vision to customer outcomes. Shape positioning, messaging, launches, and enablement strategies to sharpen competitive differentiation, improve win rates, and accelerate adoption.
  • Drive Market Impact: Guide Mongoose's market presence, ensuring a differentiated, insight-driven narrative across campaigns, content, and field conversations. Integrate brand, demand, product storytelling, and customer value for cohesive market impact.
  • Develop Future Leaders: Invest in the growth of functional leaders, enhancing their strategic thinking, business acumen, and leadership capabilities.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • GTM Leadership: Proven experience leading Marketing, Revenue, and Product in environments with tight cross-functional alignment that fueled growth. Comfortable shaping company strategy and influencing outcomes.
  • Function Builder: Experience building and scaling marketing organizations, designing structures, defining ownership, and creating operating models for functional independence and clarity.
  • Strategic Orientation: Ability to operate at a high level, translating company goals into clear marketing strategies and roadmaps, prioritizing investments for maximum business impact.
  • Leadership Multiplier: Skilled at developing leaders, creating conditions for strategic thinking, autonomous operation, and expanded influence.
  • Product Marketing Depth: Strong instincts in positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and launch orchestration, understanding how product storytelling drives revenue and adoption.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Ability to build trust quickly, navigate competing priorities, and create alignment across executive peers.
  • Operational Discipline: Clarity in planning, prioritization, and execution, establishing goals, metrics, and operating rhythms for focus and accountability.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per year
