About the Role
The US Property & Specialty Product Design and Modeling team is looking for a sharp, driven Assistant Director to shape the future of pricing for its Renters portfolio. This role integrates advanced data science, business strategy, and cross-functional leadership to build models that directly drive profitable growth. Reporting to the Specialty Senior Director, you will collaborate closely with US Data Science, Product Management, Delivery, and IT teams. You will have significant ownership over high-stakes pricing programs and the visibility to influence senior-level decisions.
Location: This role is remote with occasional travel. Candidates residing within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule.

What You'll Do
- Own the pricing roadmap: Develop industry-leading pricing programs in close collaboration with the Product team to unlock segmented, profitable growth opportunities across the Renters Portfolio.
- Drive program rollouts: Lead end-to-end deployment of pricing programs, including model adjustments for regulatory requirements, documentation, and responses to DOI objections.
- Collaborate across functions: Partner with Delivery, Specialty Product, Program Management, IT, and other teams to ensure fast, effective launches.
- Analyze & iterate: Monitor post-launch results and collaborate with business teams to refine go-forward market strategy.
- Innovate continuously: Identify new profitable growth opportunities by researching emerging modeling techniques and testing novel variables and new data sources.
- Lead with influence: Communicate tradeoffs clearly, guide leadership toward optimal courses of action, and deliver on commitments.
Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of predictive analytic techniques and statistical diagnostics of models.
- Expert knowledge of predictive toolsets, serving as an expert resource for tool development.
- Demonstrated ability to exchange ideas and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to establish and build relationships within the aligned functional area or SBU, and network with key contacts outside your area of expertise.
- Ability to deliver effective training and presentations to peers, management, and less senior business leaders.
- Ability to use analytical results to persuade team or department management to a particular course of action.
- A value-driven perspective regarding work context and impact.
- Competencies typically acquired through:
- A Ph.D. degree (in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or other scientific field) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- A Master's degree (scientific field) and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor's degree (scientific field) and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
