The Opportunity:
This is a field-based position within Abbott’s Vascular division, supporting the innovative, minimally invasive products for vascular disease treatment. We are seeking a Vessel Closure Regional Sales Director for the Mid-Atlantic region (Pittsburgh/DC), reporting to the Area Vice President. This leader will be responsible for achieving regional sales and profitability objectives by formulating sales strategies, identifying market opportunities, and leading a team of Account Managers and Clinical Specialists.

What You’ll Work On:

  • Drive profitable growth across the portfolio, focusing on Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Cardiologists, and Interventional Radiologists.
  • Execute strong sales strategies to achieve sales targets for the Vessel Closure portfolio.
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of Account Managers and Clinical Specialists, ensuring accountability for business results through effective performance management.
  • Increase market share and influence stakeholders within the hospital setting.
  • Drive contracting efforts to secure favorable positions within regional accounts.
  • Develop commercial sales strategies aligned with marketing strategy for best-in-class sales execution.
  • Hire, coach, develop, and performance manage direct reports, setting high standards for the team.
  • Ensure effective customer relationship management, including targeting, onboarding, contracting, clinical support, pricing management, KOL management, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee planning, forecasting, expense management, reporting, sales process adherence, and interaction with Sales Analytics.
  • Maintain adherence to company sales management and reporting systems.
  • Provide feedback on sales strategies and marketing program effectiveness.
  • Identify account sales target pipelines to achieve revenue goals.
  • Organize regular performance review meetings with the team.
  • Establish individual development plans for team members.
  • Ensure team meets and maintains required product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Ensure adherence to company values, ethics, legal obligations, and policies.
  • Foster a diverse workplace where all participants can contribute fully.
  • Keep the company informed of market dynamics and competitive activity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7+ years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel 50% within the assigned region.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior sales management experience in the medical device industry.

Travel: Yes, 50 % of the Time
Salary Range: $113,300.00 – $226,700.00
