About the Role

AWS is seeking an Electronic Health Record Principal Sales Executive to drive revenue growth by helping healthcare provider customers adopt Epic on AWS and transform their healthcare organizations. You will build relationships with hospital system executives, helping them realize the business value of cloud computing and AI in support of patient care. You will own strategy, key customer win goals, and revenue targets across a portfolio of healthcare provider accounts, driving adoption of AWS services for Epic EHR workloads. This role requires a unique balance of healthcare industry expertise, comfort with C-suite conversations, and consultative selling skills.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed annual revenue targets by driving AWS adoption for Epic EHR workloads.
  • Coach and mentor sellers on developing winning Epic EHR and ecosystem proposals.
  • Develop and execute account plans that identify migration opportunities and map stakeholder relationships.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through prospecting, executive networking, and partner collaboration.
  • Lead complex, consultative sales cycles, translating technical value into business outcomes for C-suite executives.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Engage Systems Integrator (SI) partners to support deal progression.
  • Negotiate and close multi-year commitments.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for product enhancements and service improvements.
  • Build deep, trust-based relationships with senior executives within hospital systems.
  • Contribute to the broader AWS Healthcare sales community by sharing best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales, business development, or sales engineering/consulting experience.
  • Experience engaging with and influencing C-level executives.
  • 7+ years of technology sales experience (enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting, cloud computing).
  • Experience driving improvement programs in operations, engineering, and support.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry dynamics (value-based care, health system consolidation, modernization pressures).
  • Minimum 10+ years of technology sales experience in SaaS or Cloud.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Healthcare, Business, Human Resources, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements in Healthcare provider settings.
  • Coaching and guiding sellers on winning strategic EHR cloud pursuits.
  • Strong experience selling cloud infrastructure, consulting, hosting, or managed services for Epic EHR ecosystems.
  • Experience managing joint go-to-market success with technology partners.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Experience positioning cloud and AI/ML solutions for healthcare use cases (clinical decision support, population health analytics, interoperability).
  • Excellent track record of selling into academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), or large multi-hospital health systems.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range (USA): $170,000 - $230,000 USD annually.
  • Additional Compensation: Package includes sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives.
