About the Role

Nivoda is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Global Fulfillment Team. This role is crucial as the primary analytical partner for our Fulfillment Department, focusing on optimizing our supply chain, logistics, and delivery operations for maximum speed, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. You will be instrumental in translating intricate logistical data into actionable business strategies. The ideal candidate is an expert in SQL, enjoys dissecting complex data to uncover underlying trends, and is adept at utilizing modern AI tools to enhance productivity. You will play a key role in monitoring fulfillment performance, identifying operational issues, and empowering the team with data-driven insights.

What You'll Do

  • Operational Optimization: Analyze fulfillment workflows to pinpoint supply chain bottlenecks and propose data-backed solutions to enhance delivery speed, cost efficiency, and reliability.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain automated dashboards to track critical fulfillment KPIs, including shipping costs, transit times, SLA adherence, and hub performance, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and actionability for stakeholders.
  • SQL & Data Analysis: Independently write and manage complex SQL queries for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large fulfillment datasets. Translate business inquiries into structured queries, construct reusable data models, and ensure consistent KPI definitions across all reporting.
  • Insights & Decision Support: Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within fulfillment data, moving beyond basic reporting to generate clear, actionable insights and recommendations that influence operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Operations, Logistics, Product, and Data teams to understand challenges, support informed decision-making, and provide analytical expertise for key strategic initiatives.
  • Data Modeling: Partner with Data Engineers to ensure fulfillment data is clean, well-structured, and scalable within the data warehouse, supporting long-term analytics and reporting requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor data integrity across fulfillment systems, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the reliability of reporting and operational metrics.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously track key fulfillment KPIs, promptly flagging issues, anomalies, and performance deviations. Investigate root causes using data and support ongoing monitoring of courier performance, batching efficiency, and delivery speed to ensure consistent operational reliability.
  • Leverage AI Tools: Utilize AI tools to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and draft written outputs. We expect candidates to be proficient practitioners of AI-assisted work.

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a Data Analyst or Business Analyst role.
  • Advanced SQL: Strong proficiency in writing complex, performant SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, window functions, and independent work with large datasets.
  • Analytical Rigor: Demonstrated ability to transform raw data into clear insights and actionable recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Problem Solving: Capability to investigate ambiguous problems, identify root causes, and structure data-driven solutions.
  • Domain Interest: A keen interest in logistics, e-commerce, marketplaces, or supply chain operations.

Highly Desirable:

  • Company: Prior experience in a fast-paced, start-up or scale-up (Series B - D) environment is strongly preferred.
  • Background: Experience in supply chain and logistics is preferred.
  • Modern Data Stack: Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • Data Transformation: Exposure to tools like dbt or experience structuring reusable datasets/models.
  • Visualization Tools: Experience building dashboards in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
