Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy, building a full-stack AI cloud platform that empowers developers and enterprises. As a publicly traded company (Nasdaq: NBIS) headquartered in Amsterdam with R&D hubs worldwide, we are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Specialist to manage the end-to-end logistics of IT hardware across Europe and international lanes.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Transportation Logistics Specialist to manage the full scope of IT hardware logistics across Europe and beyond, including racks, servers, and other data center equipment. This role encompasses domestic European transport, inbound international freight from suppliers in Taiwan and other origins, outbound shipments from Europe, and logistics to and from Israel. You will also manage RMA/RMS shipments, ensuring smooth and timely hardware delivery across all routes. This is a hands-on, operationally focused position requiring strong attention to detail, excellent vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-paced global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations

  • Manage end-to-end transport of IT hardware (rack systems, servers, data center equipment) across all lanes: domestic European, inbound international (primarily from Taiwan), outbound from Europe, and to/from Israel.
  • Coordinate inbound freight scheduling (ocean and air freight from Taiwan and other origins), managing carrier/freight forwarder selection and execution for on-time, damage-free arrivals.
  • Handle all RMA and RMS shipments, coordinating with vendors, carriers, and internal teams for accurate and timely processing.
  • Manage equipment transfers between company warehouses and data center facilities across Europe, optimizing routes and minimizing handling risks.
  • Maintain full visibility over active shipments, proactively resolving transit issues, delays, or exceptions.
  • Develop contingency plans and alternative routing strategies for business continuity.
  • Manage time-critical air freight shipments, including carrier selection, booking, and tracking.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Collaborate with data center operations teams to support staging, buffering, and just-in-time hardware deployment.
  • Maintain accurate in-transit inventory records and ensure proper chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Manage all shipment-related documentation in relevant systems (Jira, TMS, or equivalent).
  • Oversee customs documentation and clearance for all cross-border shipments (inbound from Taiwan, intra-Europe, to/from Israel).
  • Process and reconcile logistics invoices, managing payments and ZIP payments to vendors and partners.
  • Work with the security team to establish and maintain secure shipment protocols.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure all shipments comply with applicable regulations (EU transport, customs, import/export, cross-border trade compliance for Israel).
  • Manage VAT, duties, and customs declarations for international shipments.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all logistics activities.
  • Establish and enforce SLAs and KPIs with freight carriers, forwarders, and 3PL partners, driving accountability through performance reviews.
  • Identify and escalate compliance gaps or process deviations, implementing corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with hardware engineering, procurement, finance, and data center operations to align logistics with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with OEM suppliers (e.g., Giga, ASUS) to coordinate international shipping, customs documentation, and inbound scheduling.
  • Coordinate with teams and partners in Israel for inbound/outbound shipments and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for European transport-related issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through KPI tracking, root cause analysis, and process standardization.

Planning & Cost Management

  • Forecast transportation demand based on data center expansion plans and deployment schedules.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities (carrier consolidation, routing, scheduling).
  • Track and report on logistics costs, flagging variances and recommending actions.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through regular reporting and analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in transportation, freight, or logistics management, preferably in technology, data center, or hardware supply chain.
  • Proven experience managing domestic European and international freight operations (LTL/FTL, ocean, air), carrier/forwarder relationships, and 3PL coordination.
  • Solid understanding of EU customs regulations, import/export procedures, and cross-border trade compliance (Europe and non-EU countries).
  • Experience managing shipments to or from Israel is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with RMA/RMS shipment processes and reverse logistics.
  • Familiarity with TMS platforms, Jira, or similar systems.
  • Experience managing large, heavy, or high-value freight (server racks, IT infrastructure equipment) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills with a high standard for accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional, international collaboration.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a remote environment.
  • Based in Europe; Amsterdam preferred, other EU locations considered. Must be eligible to work in the EU.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or large-scale data center build-out environment.
  • Experience with Asia-Pacific supply chains, particularly Taiwan-to-Europe freight lanes.
  • Background in supply chain analytics, reporting, or continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with physical security protocols for high-value hardware shipments.
  • Experience working in logistics operations in the Netherlands, Germany, or other major European hubs.
