Sales Associate - Hand and Stone San Marcos

Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa is looking for motivated and outgoing individuals to join our San Marcos location as Sales Associates. We have a large member base and welcome many new clients, providing a dynamic environment to grow your career in the wellness industry.

About the Role

This is a part-time position focused on providing excellent service to our members and guests. You will be the first point of contact, responsible for greeting clients, managing appointments, explaining our wellness plans, and recommending services, enhancements, and products. This is a long-term position for dedicated individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the spa manager with day-to-day activities.
• Answer busy phones and book client appointments.
• Greet and check clients in and out for appointments.
• Address member concerns and ensure every guest has a great experience.
• Explain the benefits of our membership program and sell memberships.
• Oversee staff (massage therapists and estheticians) while on duty to ensure duties are completed.
• Educate guests on the benefits of massage, facials, infrared sauna, and facial products.
• Provide excellent service to guests and members.
• Maintain an impeccable spa environment by checking therapy rooms, restocking, and assisting with laundry.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality with a warm demeanor.
• Interest in wellness and helping people is a plus.
• Experience preferred in customer service (spas, medical offices, tanning, waxing, fitness centers, or businesses with busy phones).
• Dependable, reliable, responsible, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to handle multiple phone calls, check clients in/out, and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Comfortable using computers for booking appointments and check-outs.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work cohesively in a fast-paced environment and be proactive.
• Ability to handle stress, find solutions when staff are absent, and manage client concerns.
• Willingness to learn about massage and esthetic services.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends (Spa hours: Mon-Fri 9am-8pm, Sat-Sun 9am-6pm).
• Professional image and appearance.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Additional Earnings: $10 for each membership sold, 10% on product commissions, and gift card bonus plans.

Schedule

• Weekly schedule typically consists of 3-4 Monday-Friday shifts (2:30 PM - 8:30 PM) and 1-2 Saturday-Sunday shifts (11:30 AM - 5:30 PM).
• 6-8 hour work schedules.
