Job Description: Client Solutions Engineer

Join our Technology R&D Lab as a Client Solutions Engineer and serve as the technical bridge between our innovative composable banking platform and the financial institutions we serve. You will play a crucial role in driving customer success by creating implementation documentation, supporting client engineering teams through their integration journey, and showcasing our platform's capabilities to prospective customers. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure successful adoption of our cloud-native SaaS solution.

Key Tasks

• Architecture & Support: Architect and support proof-of-concept implementations, translating client requirements into integration designs.
• Technical Assistance: Provide hands-on technical support to client implementation teams, troubleshooting integration issues and advising on data architecture and API design.
• Discovery Sessions: Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand their portfolio, performance, and data requirements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation (implementation guides, API references, data models, integration patterns).
• Reference Architectures: Design reference architectures, sample code, and integration accelerators.
• Pre-Sales Support: Partner with Sales during pre-sales to address technical questions and assess feasibility.
• Domain Translation: Translate domain models (positions, transactions, performance, fees) into clear integration guidance.
• Feedback Loop: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to channel client feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
• Platform Knowledge: Stay current on platform capabilities, releases, and roadmap.
• Knowledge Management: Contribute to knowledge base articles, FAQs, and community resources.
• System Knowledge: Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Avaloq’s and other core banking systems.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in financial services technology with strong domain expertise in investment/trading platforms, portfolio data, performance calculation, fee mechanics, etc.
• Architecture: Proven architecture experience (data architecture, solution design).
• Cloud & Integration: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data/integration technologies.
• Modern Architectures: Experience with event-driven, API-first architectures and HTTP/CLI-based integration patterns.
• Programming/Scripting: Strong ability (TypeScript preferred) for building demos and accelerators.
• Documentation: Strong track record creating clear technical documentation.
• Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation and demonstration skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Client Support: Experience supporting enterprise clients through complex implementations (banking, wealth management, hedge funds).
• Environment: Comfortable working in early-stage, less structured environments with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills bridging business, product, and engineering.
• Travel: Willingness to travel for client meetings, workshops, and conferences.
