Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert telephone triage for hospice patients and their families.
• Assess patient conditions and determine the most appropriate next steps for care.
• Collaborate effectively with on-call teams to coordinate necessary care and resources.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all communications and interventions.
• Handle urgent calls with a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor.

Requirements

• Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for call documentation.
• Comfort and ability to type documentation and notes efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Capacity to handle stress and multitask effectively during calls (handling 5-8 calls per hour).
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Reliable internet connectivity and consistent attendance during scheduled shifts are essential for timely patient care coordination.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay: $25/hour, with potential to earn up to $28/hour within 6 months.
• Shift differentials: $2/hour for overnights and weekends (Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday).
• Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues based on hours worked.
• Eligibility for our 401(k) plan (for part-time and full-time nurses).
• Full-time nurses are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance plans.
