What You'll Do

As an Implementation Engineer, you will partner closely with our sales and solutions architect teams to drive new customer wins and ensure their success with Roboflow's computer vision solutions. You will manage the project lifecycle, from deployment to adoption, working hands-on with customers and internal engineering teams. Your day-to-day will involve diverse and engaging challenges across various industries, leveraging your expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and Python to solve complex customer problems and ensure they achieve their desired return on investment.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the project delivery of customized computer vision solutions for customers.
  • Provide post-deployment support, including troubleshooting, debugging, and customer education.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Solutions Architect teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Create technical content (e.g., sample applications, documentation, videos) to demonstrate best practices.
  • Develop implementation strategies and build roadmaps in conjunction with Sales and Product teams.
  • Partner with customers to analyze image data, answer business questions, and identify computer vision-driven improvements.
  • Test and validate new product features with a focus on customer value creation.
  • Contribute to a repository of reusable artifacts to accelerate customer adoption.
  • Collaborate with the wider Roboflow team to enhance processes, documentation, and the overall customer experience.
  • Assist the Product team with customer onboarding, support, adoption, and engineering efforts.

The Skillset You'll Bring

  • A background in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Technical experience in field roles supporting enterprise customers in post-sales delivery and implementation.
  • Proficiency in utilizing and writing customized Colab notebooks (Python) within the machine learning development lifecycle (with a willingness to learn more).
  • Familiarity with common data processing and computer vision frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Diligent problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach and the ability to think quickly.
  • Proven project management experience related to delivery timelines and commitments.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Who You'll Be Working With

Join a talented team of ~60 individuals, including former founders, experienced executives, and Roboflow users who have transitioned to team members. As an early Implementation Engineer, you will work directly with the co-founder/CEO and Sales leadership, playing a key role in shaping the future of this function.

Where You'll Work

Roboflow operates as a distributed company across the US and Europe, with established Hubs in New York City, San Francisco, and São Paulo. We offer opportunities for in-person collaboration through team offsites and provide resources like a $4000/year travel stipend. You can choose to work from a Hub (relocation bonus available), from home, or at co-working spaces – prioritizing your best work environment.

When You'll Work

Our primary operations align with US daytime hours, with some required synchronous meetings. Beyond that, we offer a flexible schedule that supports both collaborative and asynchronous work.

What You'll Receive

  • Target OTE: $150,000 - $200,000
  • $4000/yr Travel Stipend: For travel to work alongside colleagues.
  • $350/mo Productivity Stipend: For home office or co-working space expenses.

Onboarding & Growth

  • Within one week: Understand computer vision, our product, company, customers, and vision; ship a substantial deliverable.
  • Within one month: Onboard in person with your manager (NY or SF Hub); build your first computer vision project with Roboflow.
  • Within six months: Attend your first company onsite; gain proficiency in other Roboflow product areas.

Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to be decisive and efficient, typically completed over a few days:

  • Before Interview: Application/profile review, potential technical screen. Highlight your work with Roboflow or open-source contributions.
  • Introduction Phase (45m): Meet with Hiring Manager (Jim Duffy) for mindset and skillset assessment.
  • Team Interview Phase:
  • Technical Assessment (60m) with a fellow Implementation Engineer.
  • Demo (30m) of a Roboflow project with Jim Duffy and Jeremy Powers (Head of Sales).
  • Final Interview Stage:
  • Culture Discussion (30m) with Kate Wagner (Head of Operations).
  • Meet with Joseph Nelson (CEO).
