Your Mission

Shape the future of real-world LiDAR applications at a leading high-tech company in Munich. At Blickfeld, we develop our own innovative LiDAR technology based on a frictionless MEMS mirror. Our sensors create high-resolution 3D data of the environment, providing detailed information about object size, position, and speed, enabling analysis of people, vehicles, and other objects. Blickfeld LiDAR sensors excel in a wide variety of applications, including security, volume measurement, traffic management, and smart cities. As part of our innovative software team, you will contribute to the integration of our LiDAR sensors into modern security environments. After an onboarding phase, you will work on interoperability testing, system integrations, and the development of device software components with a high degree of autonomy.

Your Tasks

  • System Integration: Test the interoperability of our LiDAR devices with various Video Management Systems (VMS) and Video Surveillance (CCTV) platforms to ensure seamless integration into existing security environments.
  • Testing Environment Maintenance: Maintain and extend the testing environment used for validating device integrations, including installation and configuration of VMS platforms, and troubleshooting of the test infrastructure.
  • Software Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our device integration stack by implementing, integrating, and debugging software components running on the device.
  • Validation & Documentation: Document integration results, compliance findings, and system behavior to support interoperability improvements and product development.

Your Profile

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
  • Programming Skills: Solid experience with Python and TypeScript. Familiarity with object-oriented design principles and comfortable working in complex development environments.
  • Automated Testing: Experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest and understanding of modern testing practices.
  • Technical Stack (Plus): Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: GitLab, Docker, CI/CD tools, CMake, Asyncio, Protobuf, gRPC, RTSP, gStreamer, SOAP, Web Services, ONVIF.
  • Mindset: Enjoy solving technical problems and contributing to the development of reliable and robust software solutions.
  • Communication & Languages: Fluent English skills and comfort collaborating in an international team.
