Overview

The Brand Protection Specialist for Investigations & Operations is crucial to supporting ALO's global brand protection efforts. This role involves coordinating offline counterfeit investigations, managing test buy operations, and maintaining robust case tracking systems. You will collaborate closely with investigators, enforcement agencies (including customs and local law enforcement), vendors, and internal teams to ensure all enforcement activities are organized, actionable, and strategically aligned.

We are seeking candidates with experience in investigations, legal or compliance operations, enforcement coordination, and vendor management. Success requires strong organizational skills, operational discipline, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This position offers valuable exposure to global enforcement programs and cross-functional collaboration.

This role is primarily remote, with periodic travel to the Los Angeles area for in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate global offline enforcement efforts, including test buy operations.
  • Partner with investigators and enforcement agencies to ensure timely execution and thorough documentation of investigations.
  • Conduct research to support case development and identify leads for escalation.
  • Maintain and update case management systems, meticulously tracking investigation status, enforcement actions, and outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive case summaries, investigation reports, and data logs.
  • Collaborate with online enforcement teams to develop effective offline investigation strategies.
  • Work with legal and compliance partners to refine processes, strengthen enforcement coordination, and support escalation strategies.
  • Assist in onboarding new investigators and clearly communicating program expectations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for investigation and enforcement workflows.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in brand protection, investigations, legal operations, compliance, or enforcement support.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple investigations and vendors concurrently.
  • Familiarity with counterfeit activity and brand abuse across both physical and digital channels.
  • Excellent communication skills and sound judgment, particularly in escalating case information.
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining tracking systems (e.g., Excel, specialized case management platforms).
  • Experience supporting field investigations, managing test buys, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Background working with investigative and law enforcement partners on domestic and cross-border enforcement matters.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation and compliance processes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $75,000–$90,000 annually (actual compensation dependent on location, experience, and performance).
  • Eligibility for performance bonuses and long-term incentives.
