Your Role: Regional Agent

As a Regional Agent, you will be the primary point of contact for educators in Kentucky, acting as both an educator and a trusted advisor. Your core function is to represent Horace Mann's insurance and financial solutions, with a primary focus on auto and home products. You will engage teachers through educational seminars, guide them through enrollment processes, and cultivate long-term relationships, simplifying complex product information and supporting their financial journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present & Educate: Deliver engaging, compliant seminars explaining product features and benefits, tailored for clarity and relevance.
  • Sales & Enrollment: Generate leads through seminars, quote and bind on-site or direct leads internally, and guide participants through the enrollment process.
  • Event Coordination: Partner with school staff to schedule, organize, and manage seminar logistics.
  • Licensing & Expertise: Maintain required licenses (Property & Casualty required; Life & Health, FINRA Series 6 & 63 may be required later) and stay current with product updates and industry trends.
  • Relationship Building: Foster ongoing relationships with educators through proactive follow-up.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams to refine content and sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 5 years in sales, consulting, or customer-facing roles (educational setting experience preferred).
  • Licenses: Property & Casualty (required). Life & Health, FINRA Series 6 & 63 may be required later.
  • Skills & Abilities: Strong product knowledge, proven sales ability, excellent presentation and event coordination skills, exceptional organizational and communication skills, ability to assess and refine strategies, and willingness to travel up to 75% within Kentucky.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000 - $90,000
  • Target Incentive: $25,000 (0–200%), subject to annual review.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience, location, and other relevant factors.
