Your Role: Corporate Development Leader

In this role, you will own and drive Quantinuum’s external growth strategy, identifying and executing acquisitions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives. Your focus will be on accelerating capability, scale, and market position across hardware, software, services, commercial, supply chain, and business functions, ensuring disciplined value creation and successful integration. You will be responsible for defining the corporate development strategy, assessing value chain positioning, and maintaining market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• External Growth Strategy: Define and execute the corporate development strategy, identifying opportunities to accelerate strategic priorities.
• Value Chain & Strategic Positioning: Assess value chain positioning and identify opportunities for integration and expansion to strengthen competitive advantage.
• Market Intelligence: Maintain a forward-looking view of the market, peers, and technological developments to inform M&A strategy.
• Corporate Development Governance: Establish rigorous processes for pipeline management, deal review, due diligence, and financial management.
• M&A Pipeline Management: Own the origination, qualification, and prioritization of the M&A pipeline.
• Business Case & Value Creation: Develop investment cases and articulate strategic fit, financial impact, and value creation potential.
• Strategic Partnerships: Own the strategy, development, and governance of strategic partnerships.
• Joint Ventures & Strategic Structures: Identify, structure, and execute joint ventures and alternative partnership models.
• Deal Execution Leadership: Lead end-to-end transaction execution, including diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
• Integration & Value Realisation: Own post-acquisition planning and integration to deliver synergies and drive value realization.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Strategy, Product, Technical, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain teams.
• Executive & Board Engagement: Develop investment papers and strategic recommendations for the Executive Team and Board.

Must-Haves

• Corporate Development Leadership in Deep Tech (10+ years): Proven experience leading M&A and partnerships in R&D-led environments (e.g., quantum, AI, semiconductors) with accountability for end-to-end deal delivery and value creation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $320,000 - $405,000 annually. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and qualifications.
• Incentive Eligible: Range includes bonus target.
