The Role: Position Summary

As a key member of the Data Intelligence and Analytics team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and contributing to strategic initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with key leaders, cross-functional teams, and various technical support groups. You will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating the business needs of project stakeholders, as well as devising and designing business process requirements to support maximizing business systems’ effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture data and technical integration requirements; develop data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, data mapping, entity relationship diagrams, and ‘To-be’/’As-Is’ process flow diagrams.
  • Facilitate interviews and process workshops to gather requirements from key stakeholders, identifying opportunities to improve the business using information technology as an enabler.
  • Collaborate with business SMEs to build user stories translated from use-case(s) and process maps, functional and non-functional requirements, including success criteria.
  • Identify user story dependencies; participate in Grooming and Planning working sessions to validate user story definition, impact, priority, and value.
  • Design, build, and maintain the enterprise business data architecture in collaboration with and in support of the enterprise business systems landscape.
  • Collaborate with the Business Systems Manager team to design and produce the applicable roadmap(s) for data management.
  • Mentor and coach team members on best practices and standards in business data flow and enterprise system integration process modeling.
  • Document and maintain the end-to-end business data-flow catalogue for any given business lifecycle.
  • Identify critical relationships across systems, gaps, and/or areas of risk, including any mitigation solutions.
  • Document and maintain the Data Service Catalogue for best-practice delivery playbooks and standards, including process management, system user access/persona, and release management.
  • Lead business data critical initiatives and related requirement development, providing guidance on upstream and downstream impacts, including risk mitigation solutions, and necessary implementation workstreams and success criteria.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Applications team, providing guidance and support on data flow, migration, and data integrity best practices.
  • Provide support in existing and new system integrations; support the maintenance of the Enterprise Integrations Catalogue.
  • Provide support for existing and new systems events (e.g., new system acquisitions, integrations, 3rd party tools, new release capabilities/upgrades).
  • Partner with the EDA and Data Intelligence team, providing support to enterprise data repositories and constructs, including business data dictionaries, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Provide support on the design, business value, and implementation of in-system vs. Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) reporting capabilities.
  • Provide support applicable in enterprise data governance programs, promoting the value (and accountability) of data stewardship vs. data integrity.
  • Provide support with 3rd party data providers, including cleansing, adjudication, and enrichment.
  • Promote the enterprise-wide common catalog of metrics and KPIs for high-performance insights.
  • Partner with other OCIO (or Enablement) teams to support enterprise infrastructure or architecture programs, including TSS in user management, Security & Trust in access and risk management, audit, and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience liaising with both business and technology teams, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand non-technical language to facilitate communication with business stakeholders, working with Agile development methods on data-oriented projects.
  • Experience with modeling tools related to process, data, and workflow at the conceptual level; BPMN experience for process modeling/mapping is highly desired.
  • Experience in data lifecycle and ETL design; strong understanding of data management principles, data profiling.
  • Direct experience working with technical teams supporting the delivery of data migration/synchronization between complex systems and/or integrations.
  • Ability to successfully conduct workshops with stakeholders from various functional areas and levels in the organization.
  • Experience in creating complex test plans and quality assurance plans to validate new systems.
  • Salesforce, NetSuite & PowerBI experience is preferred.
  • Direct experience in various systems analysis methodologies, including data analysis, data mapping, flowcharts, use case development, story writing, system set-up/configuration, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.
  • Direct experience in Agile methodologies, including project management, iterative design, build, and delivery.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and drive cross-functional change with a sense of urgency.
  • Persuasive and credible presentation and facilitation skills; ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Compensation

  • $44 - $50 per hour
  • The US base hourly range for this position is $44 - $50 ($93,000 - $103,000 annual), non-overtime eligible. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
