In short: We are looking for a Senior Technical Consultant from the digital industry with a focus on MarTech & CRM – as well as a technical background, consulting expertise, and experience in digital transformation projects.

Ideally, you come from a Digital Consultancy, Digital Agency, Tech Agency, Technology Consultancy, or an IT/Digital Service Provider in the context of Marketing Technology, CRM, Customer Experience, E-Commerce, or Digital Sales.

You are the person who understands business requirements, contextualizes technical interdependencies, develops viable technology concepts from them, and confidently guides clients through complex digitalization decisions.

We are filling this position at a specialized boutique digital consultancy with around 20 employees, which supports medium-sized and large companies in making their digital business models, platforms, and underlying technical processes future-proof.

Projects range from CRM and MarTech transformations to e-commerce and sales digitalization, including the selection of new technology stacks, AI solutions, and the harmonization of complex system landscapes in the marketing, sales, and platform context.

Therefore, we are not looking for a pure project manager or an operational tool specialist, but a technical consultant who accompanies clients at eye level: from analysis and conception to managing the implementation with internal teams and external partners (= technical project management).

Typically, this role is a good fit for people who currently work, for example, as Technical Consultant, MarTech Consultant, CRM Consultant, Solution Consultant / Solution Engineer / Requirements Engineer, Technology Consultant, Senior Digital Consultant, Technical Project Lead, Product Owner Digital, CX Consultant, or Digital Transformation Consultant.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze CRM, MarTech, and Digital System Landscapes: Evaluate existing system landscapes, processes, interfaces, and data flows. Develop target states, optimization potentials, and roadmaps for modern digital architectures.
  • Translate Business Requirements into Technical Concepts: Conduct workshops, analyze business goals, and structure requirements from marketing, sales, service, e-commerce, and IT. Subsequently, translate these into clear decision-making and implementation foundations.
  • Evaluate Technologies and Develop Recommendations: Compare CRM, MarTech, CDP, CMS, E-Commerce, Conversational AI, or AI solutions and develop suitable solution approaches. The goal is not to operate every tool yourself, but to evaluate options with sound functional and technical expertise.
  • Advise, Present to, and Guide Clients Through Decisions: Prepare complex topics understandably, moderate decision-making formats, and act as a sparring partner for departments, management, and IT.
  • Manage Digital Projects Functionally and Technically: Ensure that complex technical initiatives are cleanly planned, prioritized, and structured for implementation. Take responsibility for functional management, technical orientation, stakeholder management, and service provider coordination.
  • Support Partner, Pitch, and Tender Processes: Assist clients in selecting external service providers, technology partners, or implementation teams and help structure briefings, tenders, and decision-making foundations.
  • Co-develop Overall Technical Concepts: Depending on the project, contribute to architecture considerations, system selection, solution engineering topics, or integration issues.

  • Sales and Call Center Transformation for an Energy Company: Optimization of existing processes, including the integration of modern Conversational AI solutions and CRM connections.
  • MarTech Transformation of a Loyalty Card Platform: Restructuring complex marketing processes and defining new, scalable technology stacks.
  • International CRM and Contact Center Landscape for an Online Retail Platform: Consolidation of grown system landscapes into integrated platforms with an international perspective.

Qualifications:

You don't have to come from the exact same role. What's important is that you can combine digital technology, consulting, and project management.

Ideally, you bring:

  • Several years of experience in Technical Consulting, Digital Consulting, MarTech/CRM Consulting, Solution Consulting, Technology Consulting, Digital Agency, Tech Agency, or a comparable digital environment.
  • Experience with CRM, MarTech, CDP, CMS, or E-Commerce system landscapes.
  • Understanding of digital processes, platforms, interfaces, and technological interdependencies.
  • Experience in requirements management, requirements analysis, or structured process recording.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical concepts, roadmaps, and decision-making foundations.
  • Confident presence in client workshops, presentations, and coordination meetings with departments, management, and IT.
  • Experience in the functional or technical management of complex digital projects.
  • High customer orientation and the ability to bring together functional, technical, and economic perspectives.
  • Very good command of German, both written and spoken.

Helpful, but not required:

  • Experience with tender, pitch, or partner selection processes.
  • Experience with solution engineering, technical project leadership, or product ownership.
  • Experience with medium-sized company structures in B2B or B2C contexts.
  • Knowledge of several MarTech & CRM tools or ecosystems such as Salesforce, Adobe Experience Cloud, HubSpot, Contentful, Bloomreach, SCAYLE, Shopify Plus, commercetools, CDPs, Marketing Automation, or Conversational AI.
  • Exposure to AI, automation, or data use cases.
