A Day in the Life

As a Guest Onboarding Consultant, you will partner directly with restaurant owners to implement their Toast platform. Working alongside a Core Onboarding Consultant, you will specialize in onboarding Toast Modules, guiding customers through configuration, setup, and go-live preparation. You'll manage multiple onboarding projects concurrently, serving as a trusted advisor who combines product expertise with project management skills to ensure a seamless customer experience. To succeed in this role, you should be flexible, motivated by aggressive growth goals, and excel in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Leverage Toast product knowledge and project management skills to partner with restaurant owners during the pre-Go-Live onboarding phase.
  • Conduct consultation meetings with customers, guiding them through Toast's guest-facing modules (e.g., Online Ordering, Toast Tables, Loyalty, Gift Cards, Catering & Events).
  • Establish best practices for managing daily restaurant operations by empowering restaurant owners and staff to utilize Toast modules effectively.
  • Consult with clients to determine configuration needs prior to go-live and communicate unique requirements to the wider project team.
  • Submit requests on behalf of customers for technical issues encountered during onboarding.
  • Act as a product expert and trusted advisor, addressing customer questions and troubleshooting issues throughout the onboarding journey.
  • Adhere to Toast best practices and document any deviations identified during the project design phase.
  • Share process knowledge and product expertise with the broader team.
  • Optimize the use of the Toast product for client businesses and workflows, focusing on operational efficiencies that enhance the guest and staff experience.
  • Manage multiple onboarding engagements simultaneously.

What You'll Need to Thrive (Requirements)

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer satisfaction and business operations role, or relevant restaurant industry experience.
  • Proven ability to operate independently and navigate competing priorities in a constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills.

What Will Help You Stand Out (Nice to Haves)

  • 1+ years of experience using Point of Sale (POS) software, preferably in the service industry.
  • Experience working in the tech industry or for a SaaS company.
  • Training, teaching, or development experience.
