The Role

We are seeking a Senior Service Sales Engineer for the Southwest US territory. This role is critical in generating profitable service sales across Commercial Building Service, Industry, and Water Utilities markets for Peerless Pump. You will lead the full sales process with professional end-users and key accounts throughout the Southwest US (California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah), with a strategic focus on Los Angeles and California. This is a remote position, and you can be based anywhere in Southern California, preferably Los Angeles.

What You Will Be Doing

As a key member of the Peerless Pump Service & Solutions, North America team, you will drive market share growth for the Peerless brand by delivering maximum value propositions and positioning us as the preferred service partner for critical pumping infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Driving service sales growth by engaging targeted professional end-users and distributors, identifying projects and contracts early in the development cycle across the Southwest territory.
  • Building and managing strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective accounts, collaborating closely with local sales management.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales plans with clear goals and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conducting product training sessions to enhance the contracting community's awareness of the full Peerless service portfolio and product offerings.
  • Analyzing the market positioning of Grundfos products and services to recommend optimal pricing strategies that maximize contribution margin and customer value.
  • Staying current on service industry trends and competitive conditions, providing recommendations on product changes, additions, or new opportunities to leadership.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We are looking for a technically sharp sales professional with deep knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, and rotating equipment, combined with proven success selling service products and expertise in strategic account management. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales, commercial, or technical experience in pumps, hydraulics, or rotating equipment.
  • Proven success selling service products, ideally centrifugal pumps, vertical turbine pumps, or other rotating equipment.
  • Working knowledge of pump systems, controls, and all aspects of operation, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver technical product training and presentations effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with key account management in Commercial Building Service, Industrial, or Water Utility markets.
  • Familiarity with the Peerless brand or Grundfos product portfolio.
  • Strategic planning capabilities with a demonstrated track record of developing and executing territory sales plans.

Travel

You will be expected to travel up to 130 days per year.
