Lead Environmental Planning - Major Infrastructure Projects

We are among the central infrastructure players in Germany, responsible for a nationally significant transportation network. The regional unit in Northern Germany manages major new construction and expansion projects of high transport, economic, and social relevance. These projects are among the most important infrastructure undertakings in the region and will decisively shape mobility in the north for the long term.

Your Role

You will assume a key role within two major projects of high regional and supra-regional importance. You will strategically and operationally lead your area, manage goals, projects, and processes, further develop structures, and ensure that environmental planning is implemented in complex procedures in a capable, solution-oriented, and deadline-driven manner. Simultaneously, you will serve as the central technical authority for planning and environmental law issues. Your team currently comprises four employees and is set to expand to five positions, with further growth planned in the medium term. Content-wise, approximately two-thirds of the task involves project-related leadership duties, and one-third involves internal steering, organization, and further development.

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with a completed university degree in landscape planning, regional planning, environmental planning, environmental management, or a comparable field. A solid technical foundation in environmental planning and a confident understanding of the interrelationships between planning, nature conservation, permitting, and project management are essential. Knowledge of relevant technical and legal regulations in environmental and planning law is also expected.
