Aufgaben (Responsibilities)

• Lead strategic projects (multi-project management) in the area of military use of space beyond IABG's boundaries – manage customer projects regarding time, cost, and quality within the scope of project leadership for interconnected, strategically significant customer projects, and provide technical leadership for employees assigned to the projects.
• Act as the responsible interface and point of contact for supporting military customers.
• Understand customer needs in the area of military use of space, develop the customer network, and maintain customer contacts.
• Expand the service portfolio, acquire pilot projects, and develop specific customer solutions.
• Collaborate with customers and continuously develop the business strategy for the relevant service portfolio in close exchange with other sales representatives, with a consistent market orientation.
• Serve as a liaison between Sales and internal competence areas, fostering internal understanding and expertise in the subject matter, and making a significant contribution to the overall internal understanding of the military use of space domain.
• Create business plans, including assessing technical feasibility and financial viability.
• Further develop the business strategy in the subject area and participate in the expansion of the IABG portfolio; conduct market analyses for the generation and design of new IABG service elements in conjunction with other subject matter experts.
• Participate in project controlling, coordinate offer preparation, and follow up on offers.

Qualifikationen (Qualifications)

• Successfully completed studies in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, preferably with a doctorate, or equivalent.
• Several years of methodologically in-depth project experience in the field of military use of space.
• Sound knowledge of military processes at various levels; relevant military background would be ideal.
• Willingness to learn new subject areas and continuously develop these contents.
• Comprehensive communication and presentation skills, as well as a customer-oriented, service-driven demeanor.
• Strong structuring ability and goal orientation, as well as analytical thinking and abstract reasoning skills.
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel (primarily domestic, in some cases international).
• Willingness to travel for business.
• Fluent German and very good English language skills.
